On June 18, our partners, Wisdom for Asia traveled 4 hours to Rajanagaram Village in India. They helped 251 Children in the village government school by providing backpacks filled with school supplies. One of items in the bag was a pair of shoes.
Kids loved seeing a pair of quality shoes in their backpack. The Headmaster and the community leaders repeatedly told us that in the existence of their school no one ever came and gave gifts like this to their children, especially quality items like this. Here are few pictures. During the event our partner said this, “One of the things I noticed about the children is that 85% came with barefeett. I am not sure how they could walk when the weather is 105 degree hot. So your help in this village was very needed.”
